This week I watched one of the worst movies I’ve seen in a while. It’s 1990’s TIME BARBARIANS starring Malibu from American Gladiators.
Now readers of this blog probably know already that my tolerance for barbarians and magic crystal amulets is extremely high. Throw in time travel, an all-midi score, and Ingrid Vold as “the Wizard” and you have a recipe for a Brad-approved film. NOT THE CASE. Both friend Ben and I agreed that this was a shoddy, poorly executed piece of funless schlock. I beseech thee, gentle reader—remove Time Barbarians from your Netflix queue and never look back!
Saturday I watched 1982’s Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains. I guess it was just released on video for the first time ever. This movie was pretty bad but mostly completely awesome. Here’s 15-year old proto-riot grrrl DIANE LANE (what??) doing a bratty punk-rock Shaggs impression that was stuck in my head for two days.
Take that, conformity! Dang, where were these girls when I was in high school? OH YEAH MAKING MY DOG SKIP
